Work visa

Everyone from abroad needs a work visa. This non-official term, work visa, describes all the visas which allow people to work in Japan. Although there are 27 visas which enables you to stay in Japan, not all of them allow you to work. Of all the work visas out there, you need to choose an apropreate one which fits with your job category.

Without a work visa, you cannot work in Japan even with an offer letter from a company. We will utilize all the knowledge we have to cover all the details and assist you in any way possible to get you the permission necessary, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Here’s the list of popular work visas.
Visa for engineer/specialist in humanities/international service

This is the visa for the foreigners, graduated from a university or a vocational school. With this visa, you are allowed to work in the fired you have studied which includes but not limited to clerical work on sales and international trade, interpretation, translation, computer related, and engineering.

Visa for specially skilled

The visa is given to the chefs, planning on working at specialty restaurants such as Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indian and Nepali restaurants. You will not get this visa if you are planning on working for a Japanese restaurant or a Japanese bar.

Visa for intra-company transferee

This visa is for the employees coming from another branch or a headqurter abroad to work in an office in Japan. The work allowed is limited within the field of engineer/specialist in humanities/international service.

Although you do not need to present your educational history, the duration of work is limited to a certain span of time. This visa also does not allow you to do monotonous works.

  2. In a situation when an international company wants to bring an experienced employee, capable of starting right off the bed, from subsidiary or affiliated companies.
  3. An employee from abroad has the educational history equivalent to high school. Due to the lack of higher educational history, the company cannot provide him the visa for engineer/specialist in humanities/international service. The company, however, wants to bring this employee to Japan as s/he has more than a year of work experience in a subsidiary or affiliated company.
Visas for Internships

The visa for internships are given only to the credited internship works for students in foreign universities.

There are different types of visas for internships. The type of visa is determined by the duration and compensation of the internship.
Paid internships are considered as a special activity, the unpaid ones are a part of cultural activity or a short stay.

Other visas

International relations, public service, high educational teaching, practing art, religeous service, broad casting, highly specialized work, legal and accounting practicing, medical service, researching, teaching, hands on practice.

What if the application gets denied?

We will support in anyway possible to help you get the application accepted, but the ultimate decision is in the hand of the Immigration Bureau. In any circumstances, no one can guarantee the acceptance of the application. Regardless the type of the application made, we will investigate the reason of denial in the worst case scenario, and have you choose one of the following options:

  1. If a declined application was so close to getting accepted, then the Immigration Bureau might give a chance to resubmit the application. In this case, we will take care of the re-submission without a charge.
  2. We will refund the payment besides the fee for preparing the documents and all the other expenses incurred during the procedures.

*We cannot refund anything if the reason of denial is on you.

  • You lied a part of the contents
  • You submitted a fake document to office
  • You committed a crime after the request for service or during the processing of the application
  • You didn’t pay the tax (i.e. corporate tax, residence tax)
  • You don’t answer to some questions necessary for the application, or you don’t cooperate with us in collecting and submitting the necessary documents
  • You don’t respond to the request from the Immigration Bureau to submit some additional documents
  • You cancel the request for service for your personal reasons (i.e. decided not to take a job offer or join the company)
Other things to keep in mind
  • On top of the service fee, we will charge you the fee for submitting the application, acquiring the documents, transportation, mailing, translating, and other expenses.
  • Even if you choose the full-support plan, we might ask you to get some documents which only you are allowed to get.
  • The service fee listed in this site is the estimate of the procedure and is different in each situation. We will give you more detailed estimate once we get in contact.
